The final ruling for crystalline silica exposure has been released by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The OSHA final rule is expected to provide a net benefit of approximately $7.7 billion, annually through control of exposure and other provisions of the rule. Exposure to silica has been linked to lung cancer, silicosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and kidney disease in workers. Specifically, Deidre has transformed underperforming safety cultures and environmental compliance programs at Allied-Signal (Honeywell), Bausch & Lomb, AstraZeneca, Syngenta (Novartis), Johnson-Matthey and Oil & Gas Refineries.
