OSHA HAZCOM: Make sure you're in Compliance with Updated Chemical Safety Rules

Duration: 60 Minutes
Over the last several years, OSHA updated its Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) to conform with the United Nations' Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). The GHS's international approach to hazard communication provides American businesses with criteria for classification of chemical hazards and a standardized approach to label elements and safety data sheets, according to OSHA. Based on major existing systems around the world, including OSHA's HCS and the chemical classification and labeling systems of other government agencies, the GHS was negotiated over many years by hazard communication experts from around the world.
