Why Should you Attend
According to the International Labor Organization, roughly 2.3 million people died from work-related accidents or diseases in 2013. Workplace incidents impact not only your employees but also result in a significant drain on the bottom line. Most companies today have turned to homegrown programs or standard frameworks like OHSAS 18001 to deal with these issues.

However, health & safety still represents a vast and largely untapped source for corporate responsibility and efficiency gains in an organization. To combat this problem, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is developing a new standard, ISO 45001, with an expected publication date in October 2016. It is intended to enable organizations to manage their OH&S risks while improving their safety performance. In addition, ISO 45001 facilitates the inclusion of other health aspects like worker wellness and wellbeing. All of its requirements are intended to be integrated within a business’s site specific management process and scale with your organization.

Aberdeen’s research on this topic has consistently found that Best-in-Class companies are those that strive to achieve optimal performance while preventing all incidents.
