Instructor Profile:
William (Bill) Kelly is a nationally certified SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and a Senior Professional in Human Resources with a California Credential (SPHR-CA). Bill’s generalist HR industry experience includes 12 years in progressively senior management positions at Bechtel National Corporation, ultimately as the Advanced Technology Division Personnel Director; and 9 years with Brown and Caldwell Environmental Engineers as the HR Director. Since 1994, Bill has provided independent generalist HR consulting services to a wide range of local, regional, and national clients. Bill specializes in services to small and medium size California employers.

Bill was a member of the University of California adjunct faculty from 1989 to 2006, teaching HR courses at various locations in the San Francisco Bay Area for U.C. Berkeley Extension. Bill played a key role in the development and launch of HRCI’s California HR Certification Program in 2007. In 2014, Bill was a Technical Editor for McGraw Hill’s two new professional publications, the All-in-One PHR/SPHR Professional in Human Resources Certification Exam Guide, and its companion the PHR/SPHR Professional in Human Resources Certification Practice Exams.
